The Beginning of my Cooking Career

start with 2 pints of blueberries
Today was Aaron's first day back to work and also my first day back at the apartment doing things for us. It was a weird feeling not to have to plan anything for the wedding or honeymoon. We are finally done with all of that and now all we have to do is... whatever it is that you do after your married :) Anyways since I had all day to clean and organize and grocery shop I decided I was going to try and make something special for Aaron. I love Real Simple so I found some recipes for blueberries because those are Aaron's favorite. I picked one for cobbler and they rest is history :)
add 1/3 cup of sugar and 1 tablespoons of flour to a 9 inch pie dish

In a medium bowl, combine the baking powder, salt, lemon zest, and the remaining flour and sugar.

cut up the butter so that you can use to fingers to make course crumbs

add about 3/4 cup of whipping cream

mix it up and make a dough

drop the dough in little balls over the blueberries

put in the oven at 375 degrees and bake for 35 to 40 minutes until golden brown and the juices are bubbling :)

Hooray!

pretty yummy looking right?

Aaron thought it looked good

So he dipped us some...
Success! :)
